Allen Township Yard Waste Drop Off

The Allen Township Yard Waste Site is located at the Public Works Building, 4714 Indian Trail Road, Northampton, PA 18067.

Hours of Operation

• Monday-Friday 7:00AM to 3:00PM (Closed on Township holidays)
• Saturdays (April 5th, 2025 to October 18th, 2025): 8:00AM to 1:00PM

Drop-Off Rules

• Yard waste must be in loose form only – NO BAGS are permitted.

Items Not Accepted at the Allen Township Yard Waste Drop-Off:

• Grass clippings
• Tree stumps
• Loose soils or sod
• Any wood or tree limbs over four (4) inches in diameter
• Human or animal excrement
• Noxious weeds
• Soils contaminated with hazardous substances

Additional Option – First Regional Compost Authority (FRCA)
Allen Township residents may also utilize the FRCA Central Processing Site, located at:
6701 Weaversville Road, Northampton, PA 18067.

The FRCA accepts the same yard waste as Allen Township plus grass clippings.
Please note: The Authority may limit the amount of grass clippings accepted due to PADEP permit requirements.

Allen Township encourages residents to consider recycling grass clippings on their property by using a mulching mower as an alternative to bagging. The First Regional Compost Authority Central Processing Site
